US Senior Accountant

Job Overview 

Summary:   

We are searching for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to lead multiple client month-end close processes, strong understanding of US GAAP, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

This role involves managing an offshore accounting team while maintaining strong client relationships. 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead month-end close process for a portfolio of clients 

• Collaborate with a global accounting team on reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules 

• Oversee all transactional work, including posting, reconciliations, and journal entries 

• Prepare and review monthly financials and reports 

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes 

• Process and review payroll and tax filings 

• Support clients through audits and due diligence 

Qualifications & Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or equivalent 

• US GAAP experience 

• Experience working with startup companies 

• Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) a plus 

• Experience with payables software (Bill.com, Ramp) a plus 

• Experience with inventory systems (Cin7, Apparel Magic) a plus 

• Experience with sales & use tax platforms (Avalara, TaxJar) a plus 

• Strong Excel skills 

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, communication, and time management 

• Trustworthy and able to manage confidential information 

• Experience working in a firm on multiple clients 

• Experience working with offshore accounting teams a plus
